Christmas Day Dining

Monday December 24, 2007
Tomorrow will be a merry day in Brooklyn, but with many businesses closed for Christmas, finding a restaurant that's open won't be easy. Try your luck at one of these spots, where the doors will be open and the food promises to be festive.
  • The Brazen Head pub on Atlantic Avenue is hosting a "Legion of the Lost" pot luck dinner complete with turkey and stuffing. Bring a dish if you'd like; the fun begins at 8pm.

The Brazen Head, 228 Atlantic Ave
    (917) 710-6472

  • At the River Café in DUMBO, you can enjoy a prix-fixe dinner with a side of amazing views of the Manhattan skyline. Feast on dishes like venison, Maine lobster, or foie gras with roasted apple and gingerbread French toast. The four-course menu is $125, and the restaurant will be open from 1pm to 8:30pm.

The River Café, 1 Water St
    (718) 522-5200

  • If seafood sounds appealing, try the Pearl Room in Bay Ridge. Sit by the fireplace, and order from a menu that includes pan seared scallops, fresh housemade mozzarella, and more. Call ahead for reservations.

The Pearl Room, 8201 3rd Ave
    (718) 833-6666

Don’t forget all the Chinese food! Brooklyn has its own Chinatown, and there’s no better way to pack on a Santa-belly than dim-sum.
