Do you have what it takes (a souped up shopping cart and a competitive spirit) to win this year's Idiotarod?

Brace yourself, Brooklyn. On Saturday, January 26, hoards of shopping cart-wielding New Yorkers will be hitting the streets to compete in the annual race. Teams of five will push their respective carts (most likely decorated and/or themed) along a route throughout the city, with starting points in DUMBO, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, and Long Island City. The participants are racing for cash prizes and--according to the official Idiotarod web site--glory.

I'm not sure if I'll be competing, but it's definitely going to be an interesting sight. Feeling brave? There's still time to register your own team. Good luck!
