Valentine's Day: Sweet Brooklyn Events
Wednesday February 6, 2008

- The Chocolate Room is offering a $28 three-course prix fixe that consists of, you guessed it, chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate. Feast on chocolate banana fritters, chocolate pudding, chocolate cake, and more. Wines are included.
- If you're looking for something more formal, the floating concert hall Bargemusic will be hosting an evening of romantic classical sounds. The show begins at 8pm, and the $50 price tag includes champagne and chocolates. My advice? Make your reservations NOW.
- Over in Wiliamsburg, Galapagos is hosting what may be the biggest party of the night. Expect live music, dance performances, art exhibits, burlesque, silent films, and more. The place is expecting a huge crowd, so buy your $20 tickets now (enter the code "GASP" for a $5 discount).
- A cozier Williamsburg option is the $65 three-course prix fixe dinner at DuMont. Choose from guaranteed-to-be-good dishes like grilled baby octopus, pan roasted tuna, or fresh ricotta ravioli.
- And if that's not your bag, try hitting up the Valentine's SHEbang! party, which starts at 8pm at the Lesbian Herstory Archives. A $5 cover will get you food, music, raffle prizes, and more.

Sounds good! It would be very nice to come to Brooklyn for Valentine’s day. It’s a little longish way from Finland to there though:) But guess what Kristen! I’m coming to the States in the near future. I’ve been trying to contact with you and I’m so happy that I found you this way. Please write me e-mail if you see this message. -Marja
