A Brooklyn-Based Thanksgiving
When the Brooklyn Kitchen's not hosting some sort of cooking contest (like Sunday night's Ramen-Off), this cool kitchenware store is usually offering up a variety of interesting cooking courses. I'm especially intrigued by the upcoming Thanksgiving Side Dishes: Brooklyn Goodies, because a) Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and b) ingredients used in the class will be Brooklyn-based (how great is that?).
In the class, Chef Linda Monastra will teach you how to cook up all sorts of Brooklyn/Thanksgiving bounty, including veggies braised with Brooklyn Lager, bruschetta made with Rick's Picks Phat Beets, dishes featuring produce grown on the Red Hook Farm, and more.
The class is $40 and is scheduled for Monday, November 17, at 6:30pm. RSVP now to reserve your spot.
