The Brooklyn Culture Bus [is Free!]

Tuesday November 11, 2008

Getting to know Brooklyn just got a little bit easier: This week Heart of Brookyn announced a new free "culture" shuttle. The bus, called the HOB Connection, will transport Manhattanites (and Brooklynites) from various locales to several Brooklyn cultural institutions, including Prospect Park, the Prospect Park Zoo, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Children's Museum, Brooklyn Museum, and the Brooklyn Public Library.

The HOB Connection will operate on a hop-on, hop-off basis, with tour guides, maps, coupons, and more. Riders will be able to choose from three routes: 1) Target First Saturdays will take Brooklyn Museum visitors to local places to eat and shop; 2) Saturday Scene will consist of continuous loops between Brooklyn neighborhoods and cultural institutions; and 3) Museum Mile will pick up passengers at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Bryant Park before making stops at Brooklyn museums and parks.

For more information, schedules, and shuttle stops, visit the HOB website.
