  • Brooklyn Cherry Blossom Festival
    Celebrate Japanese culture and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's beautiful (but fleeting) cherry blossoms at this two-day festival.

  • Brooklyn Food Conference
    Several local foodie elites will be attending this free event: Expect to see the likes of Dan Barber and Bill Telepan, to name a few. The first ever Brooklyn Food Conference also boasts a chefs' roundtable hosted by Leonard Leopate, workshops and food demos, a kids' food fair, a teen version of "Iron Chef," special film screenings, and more. Both lunch and dinner will be available for purchase.

  • First Saturday at the Brooklyn Museum
    Head to the Brooklyn Museum for a free night of culture, dance, music, and movies. This month's theme is "MayFest."

    The first in a series of Brooklyn neighborhood tours, this self-guided event will let you get a closer look at some of Clinton Hill's most historic (and most fascinating) homes. Tickets are $20.
