Just in case you were wondering, as you sip your double latte, whether the mob is still in Brooklyn, this week's news holds the chilling answer. Yes, the Mafia--its violent, non-Hollywood, non-Sopranos version, hasn't all migrated yet to Staten Island and Florida.
You'd have to be hiding under a rock not to have heard by now that US Attorney General Eric Holder schlepped from Washington DC to downtown Brooklyn to announce a huge Mafia roundup. It included over a hundred reputed Mafiosi, including four who already in jail.
As for those of us who are interested bystanders to this Brooklyn drama, stay tuned. Details will emerge as the cases are presented.
