Come check out the wedding gowns, honeymoon ideas, fashion show, at Brooklyn's first ever gay wedding expo at Borough Hall. As of 2011, same sex couples can legally marry in New York State, opening the door to many festive occasions right here in Brooklyn.
When: 10 A.M. - 6 P.M., Sunday, January 15, 2012
Where: Brooklyn Borough Hall, 209 Joralemon Street between Court and Adams Streets
What: Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and the Brooklyn Community Pride Center will host the first annual lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Wedding Expo at Brooklyn Borough Hall. 75 wedding vendors will be displaying invitations, decorations, music, theme weddings, honeymoon, restaurant and other venues, favors, food and much more. In addition, there will be raffles, fashion shows, seminars on the legal and financial issues involved in marriage, travel agency representatives, wedding planners and other services. Major sponsors of the event include TD Bank, the Hetrick-Martin Institute, Community Newspaper Group, Cunard/Princess Cruise lines and Wedding Pride magazine.
Admission: Free.
Who: Everyone is invited. Up to 5, 000 guests are expected to attend.
