Bike Share, the new rent-a-bike system being introduced to NYC, was supposed to roll out in July. It's July! But in Brooklyn none of the rental bike stands are up yet, and no firm launch date has yet been announced. Here's what we have found out: The program will roll out slowly. The area south of Atlantic Avenue will not get any stations till spring. But who's in a rush? When it's completed, the city will be awash in 10,000 new rental bikes.
