All over Brooklyn today, people I've been talking to -- and especially women -- say they were bowled over by Michelle Obama's speech last night at the Democratic National Convention. Enthralled. Satisfied, in a certain way. For many Brooklynites --and again, women -- her words about being a parent, struggling to make a better life for the kids, and about dealing with hope, disappointment, opportunity and the weight of history, simply resonated.
Michelle Obama is not a Brooklynite. But as of last night, she's an honorary Brooklynite.
Tonight. Wednesday: Bill Clinton's speech, 10 P.M.
