The famously family-friendly Park Slope Halloween Parade is apparently the largest children's Halloween parade in the United States. Who knew? How great! Kudos to the dedicated event organizers, the local Park Slope Civic Council. They've made it possible for generations of Brooklyn kids to have incredible memories of Halloween, right here in the Big Apple.
It's a crowded but sweet affair, with tons of people in both prefab and inventive homemade costumes, kids in strollers, dressed up parents. You'll see stilt walkers, and there's usually a marching band or two, as well.
