The President of the United States, the mayor of New York, Governor Cuomo, various dignitaries and Brooklyn Borough prez Marty Markowitz toured NYC today. They visited some of the worst hit areas from Hurricane Sandy and meet some of those whose homes were lost, families were bereaved and whose businesses flooded during the storm.
So, if you heard a lot of helicopters or got tied up in traffic and wondered what all the ruckus is about, that's it.
Correction: An earlier version of this post indicated that the President and other officials would visit hurricane-stricken sites in Brooklyn. That was incorrect. Borough President Markowitz joined other officials for the President's brief speech in Staten Island.
