Brooklyn Post-Thanksgiving Holiday Shopping: A Mile of Carolers, Free Trolley, Artisanal Gifts, Boutiques on Atlantic Ave.

By November 21, 2012

Follow me on:

For Saturday, Post Turkey: Whether you're visiting Brooklyn, shopping for gifts for Christmas, Kwanzaa or Chanukah (it comes early this year), or just looking for a fun destination for the Saturday after Thanksgiving, head to Atlantic Avenue's mom-and-pop shops and Brooklyn-only boutiques. It's an only-in-Brooklyn kind of experience. See what's happening: what kinds of stores, gifts and fun is on tap this Saturday on Atlantic Avenue.

From 1-5 on Saturday, from 4th Avenue near the Barclays Center all the way down to the BQE, you can walk, munch,  look, and buy.  Plus, the  kids can score free cookies, hear carolers, watch the holiday lights turn on, and catch a ride on the free trolley up and down this mile-long mom-and-pop avenue of boutiques, little restaurants and interesting shops.

The weather this Saturday will be crisp -- perfect for window (and real) shopping.

(This holiday festival is part of the  "Small Business Saturday" campaign to support mom and pops and retail entrepreneurship in New York. Why support small businesses in Brooklyn?)
