Here's one of the cheapest, funkiest, most unique things you can do during this holiday season: ride the subway. What? Well, not just any old subway.
On Sundays from now until Christmas, you can catch a nostalgia train to the 1930s by hopping aboard a most unusual subway: the Holiday Nostalgia Train.
Take the whole ride (a half hour or so, Manhattan to Queens), or just hop on and off. Or, make it an occasion. Some people dress up in retro clothes from the 1930s and make it a retro party.Swing bands on the subway, anyone?
Find out about these marvelous museum piece trains, when and where the run, how much it costs -- and when you go, bring grandpa along for a trip down memory lane.
