12 Things to Do in Brooklyn During the Christmas-New Years Break

Have visitors for the holidays? Here are 10 easy and memorable things to do in Brooklyn over the Christmas to New Years week.

  1. Visit a new neighborhood: 10 Best Things to Do in Williamsburg
  2. Walk the Brooklyn Bridge. Of course.
  3. Suggest they take a bus tour of Brooklyn or take it with them.
  4. Shop the after Christmas sales in Brooklyn.
  5. Go to the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Children's Museum, NY Transit Museum, Coney Island USA museum.
  6. Do Coney Island: Things to do in winter, including the January 1 Polar Bear Club dip into the Atlantic Ocean.
  7. Eat Brunch.
  8. Do Christmas!   See the Dyker Heights lights. (Both till 12/31)
  9. Do New Year: A midnight run in Prospect Park, see a great show for New Year's Eve, watch the free fireworks in Brooklyn.
  10. . Celebrate Kwanzaa.
  11. Volunteer to help the relief and recovery in Coney Island, Sheepshead Bay, and other neighborhoods devastated by the hurricane
  12. Make a contribution to help fight hunger; volunteer in a soup kitchen.

Also, don't forget about just simply eating some Brooklyn pizza, and going to the movies in Brooklyn!
