Once, in a post office in some town in Massachusetts, I watched as an elderly gent bought 1,000 Forever stamps, the nondenominational ones that you can use, well, forever. I thought it was nuts. But that was back in 2007 when they were first introduced, at the price of 41 cents. Today the same first class stamp costs 46 cents, as of later this month. So, is it worth it to stockpile Forever stamps? Personally, I don't think so, unless you have cash coming out of your ears -- except it's convenient, and one less thing to worry about.
