Looking for back-to-school clothes for your boy or girl? Or perhaps a good wool suit, nice coat, a party dress or fancy clothes for a special occasion? There are a ton of standard outlets, such as Macy's and other chain stores in Brooklyn. But if you had a neighbor who knew all about Brooklyn, where would he or she send you? Here are four stores that Brooklyn parents should know.
Pre-teens and teens with a well developed sense of irony might just love the gear at Neighborhoodies. You can design your own, or go into the store, pick your product (hoodies and tees) and select both the color of the item and also the choose the color of the design image itself. So your boy or girl can create his own or her own sweatshirt or t-shirt online, or go into the shop and have a ball looking at all the options in person. Parents alert: Among this company's popular slogans are such goofy standards as "I hate phonies," "Praise the Lard," and "Team Gaga."
Neighborhoodies' Location: DUMBO: 26 Jay Street. (718) 243-2265
