Coney Island Free Outdoor Movies - Flicks on the Beach Summer Schedule

The new Steeplechase roller coaster that opened in Coney Island in 2011.

What could be more fun? Welcome to movies on the beach in Coney Island. As part of the historic area's vast makeover, you can enjoy free films this summer. The movies are shown on a huge forty-foot screen. Grab a hot dog at Nathans, or spend the afternoon exploring the NY Aquarium (open 10 a.m.-6 p.m.)and walking along the Atlantic Ocean boardwalk!

Girl Walk // All Day (2011)
This feature-length film is actually a long-form dance music video, featuring three dancers who use the cityscape as their stage. The movie is set to Girl Talk's sample-heavy 2010 album, All Day.

August 6
Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (2011)
Tom Cruise stars as Ethan Hunt in the fourth installment of the Mission Impossible series. Hunt and his team, who are implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, must go rogue to clear the Impossible Missions Force's name.
