If you're looking for a Halloween costume that generally supports the ideas conveyed by the Occupy Wall Street protests (as diverse and digressive as those ideas may be), consider doing Halloween as an Occu-Pie. Apple pie, that is. Or rather, as an Occu-Apple-Pie.
Although in fact, more pizza pies than actual fruit pies were delivered on a daily basis to the Zuccotti Park protesters, the notion of an Occu-Pie that riffs on the saying, "As American as apple pie" is nearly irresistible.

How to Make a Funny, Punny Political Halloween Costume: The Occu-Pie (Apple Pie)
A lazy way to make this costume is to get two large pieces of cardboard, and draw a picture of the kind of box that might be used for a store-bought apple pie, say from the local supermarket or discount food warehouse such as Costco.More ambitious costume makers could attempt to create a homemade apple pie costume. While more challenging artistically, the homemade concept fits nicely with the anti-corporate ethos of the Occupy protests. To go this route: adapt the pizza pie concept, and paint a delicious, steaming apple pie on the costume.
Of course, it's essential that you include the word "Occu" somewhere on the costume — written on your arms, worn on a hat, or hand-scrawled across the apple pie. (A distinguishing feature of the Occupy signage has been its homespun, homemade, non-mass produced aesthetic. Handwritten signs are appropriate.)
More elaborate costumes could embellish the theme of "As American as apple pie" with patriotic paraphernalia such as flags, Uncle Sam photos, and so on.
