Brooklyn is a place where you can not just ignore Valentine's Day, but find thousands who wholeheartedly agree that they, too, hate Valentines. Join the anti-party fun!

Here are some ways to not celebrate, un-celebrate and anti-celebrate Valentine's Day in Brooklyn, NY.

"Love Bites" - Brooklyn Style

1. LOVE BITES: THE POWER BALLADS SING-ALONG at Union Hall

TUE 2/14: 10 pm / $8

From the Union Hall website: "For some Valentine's Day is the day to show that special someone just how much they care. What better way to celebrate Valentine's then by singing and pumping your fist in the air to a soul shaking collection of both pro-love and love sucks power ballad music video hits from the 80's and 90's...?"! Join this event for "the single and bitter as well as the smitten couples."

Featuring generally silly fun including ""Air Guitar Competition, Power Ballads Costume Contest (dress up as an 80's or 90's rock god, R&B star or badass 80's girl, Best "Worst Break Up" Story Contest and drink cocktails with such names as Eternal Flame, Kiss From a Rose, More Than Words, and Love Bites..."
