Question: What is Dine in Brooklyn, Anyway?
Billboards and newspaper ads talk about "Dine in Brooklyn." What is it?
Answer: Dine in Brooklyn is Brooklyn's "restaurant week." This annual event offers restaurant patrons the opportunity to have a three-course dinner for $25 and a three-course lunch for about $20 at about 200 participating Brooklyn restaurants. These prices do not include tax, drinks, alcohol or tips.
Reservations must be made in advance, and must specify that it's for the "Dine In" special.
Ask about brunch options and the "two for one" offerings. Some, but not all, participating restaurants are offering two people a full meal for a total of $25, excluding tip, tax, and drink.
Dine in Brooklyn is sponsored by a consortium that includes Time Out NY Magazine, Brooklyn Brewery, the New York State Restaurant Association, and Brooklyn's local government, among others.
