The Atlantic Antic, A Brooklyn Street Fair

The wonderful, diverse, festive street fair known as the Atlantic Antic stretches along almost two miles of Brooklyn's centrally located artery, Atlantic Avenue. The entire street is closed to traffic, making way for food vendors, stalls selling clothing, artwork, jewelry, pottery, tshirts with Brooklyn flair and more. Local restaurants and bars set up stalls in front of their businesses offering special deals. Look for great bands and music, dance performances, speeches and raffles. This is fun for the whole family.

Where: Enter from many directions; this street fair stretches along Atlantic Avenue from 4th Avenue in Boerum Hill to Hicks Street in Brooklyn Heights.

Started: 1974, by the AALDC, or Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation, held the first ever Atlantic Antic in 1974. The fair's success has made it a lasting tradition.
