New Year's Day Brunch Reservations in Brooklyn — Restaurant Brunch on Jan. 1

16 Brooklyn Brunch Picks for New Years Day (& You Can Book in Advance, Too)

By , About.com Guide

So, You Want to Make a Reservation for New Year's Day Brunch in Brooklyn?

If you don't have a New Year's Day party to go to (or host) this year, consider nursing your hangover and deconstructing last night's New Year's Eve extravaganza with your partner or pal over brunch.

But if you do plan on brunching your way into the New Year in Brooklyn, be forewarned: Unless you don't mind waiting, you'll need a reservation.

Of course, as any Brooklyn brunch veteran can attest, many of the most beloved brunch restaurants just don't take reservations. Miriam's in Park Slope — where there's always a line of people waiting for burekas — doesn't. Neither does Vinegar Hill House in suburban DUMBO. The list of restaurants that "don't take reservations" goes on and on.

So, who needs to stand in the January cold waiting for a Bloody Mary or a cup of coffee on New Year's Day?

Problem solved!

Here's a handy list of 16 nice Brooklyn brunch spots that do, in fact, take reservations for New Year's Day brunch.

Brunch, by the way, is generally scheduled from about 11 A.M. until about 4 P.M. (It's recommended that you double check the hours with the restaurant, as hours change.)

Happy New Year!
