Kwanzaa is a week-long celebration by and for the descendents of the people of Africa in the diaspora, and it is celebrated primarily in the United States. Along with Christmas and Hanukkah, Kwanzaa is regularly celebrated in Brooklyn, through events, musical performances, children's programming and in both public and private schools.

When does Kwanzaa begin and end?

Answer: Kwanzaa begins the day after Christmas, on December 26th, and lasts for a week, through New Year's Day, January 1.
