One of the best places to spend any Thursday, Friday or Saturday night during a New York summer is in Prospect Park's band shell, where the Celebrate Brooklyn! series regularly draws crowds of thousands to a richly varied program of music, dance, and film.
Wonder who's performing this summer?
Here's the month-by-month schedule of Prospect Park's summer outdoor concert series, called Celebrate Brooklyn!
Need directions to Celebrate Brooklyn? It's easy to reach Celebrate Brooklyn's concerts from any borough.
Other tips: You can sit in the grass for free, or grab a seat for a $3 admission fee (except for special, ticketed concerts). There's good food for sale on site, as well as booths selling cool made in Brooklyn stuff, including ETSY vendors. But do get there early for popular shows; if the crowd is too large, they have to start turning folks away.
Celebrate Brooklyn! is the flagship performing arts program of the borough's cultural arm, called BRIC Arts | Media. Have fun!
