Through 2014, the Brooklyn Bridge will be undergoing repainting and repair. For long periods of time, therefore, there is construction scaffolding on the bridge. Through the end of 2011, the scaffolding will be on the Brooklyn side of the Bridge, obstructing a good view of the famous Manhattan skyline.
