Walking Tour of DUMBO'S Front Street: Eating & Drinking
Walking up the stairs to the sprawling reBar "gastropub-art film movie theater” complex, you get a very clear idea of just how huge DUMBO’s old industrial spaces were.
Renovated into an airy, open loft like restaurant, reBar has been divided into comfortable sections, including a dining area, one of Brooklyn’s largest in-restaurant bar areas, and, tucked in the back, a wonderful movie theater.
This is a fun bar and restaurant destination after a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge, before a performance at St. Ann's Warehouse, or while art gallery-hopping in DUMBO. It’s noisy when packed. Expect healthful food (french fries notwithstanding) and a nice ambiance.
Note the pretty old ironwork as you go up the stairs, and the stained glass windows.
What You Can Do Here: Have a drink, have lunch or dinner, meet locals, have a catered event.
