Brooklyn Law School is one of New York’s best-known local law schools.
Brooklyn Law School was founded over a century ago. Its sixteen thousand-strong alumni body includes noted members of the bench and bar, and leaders in public service and private industry. The faculty includes internationally recognized scholars.
The main building of Brooklyn Law School main is on Joralemon Street, across from Brooklyn Borough Hall and close to the nexus of the borough of Brooklyn's court system.
Brooklyn Law School serves about 1,300 students; most are enrolled on a full-time basis. It was long a commuter school, but as Brooklyn Law has acquired dorms (many in lovely apartment buildings in exclusive Brooklyn Heights), the school has expanded its enrollment of out-of-town students.
