Question: Best Brooklyn Views of Empire State Building—Photo Op
The Empire State Building is one of New York City's iconic landmarks, and one can see it from miles away. Best of all, it's lit in colored lights at night, making for a dreamy vista from Brooklyn.
There are several neighborhoods in Brooklyn that boast great views of Midtown Manhattan and the Empire State Building.
Answer:
- Greenpoint: Get great views of mid-town Manhattan at the new Transmitter Park--or just about anywhere in Greenpoint with a view of Manhattan, which is (more or less) everywhere.
- Williamsburg: Williamsburg is blessed with a gorgeous waterfront park, East River State Park. Or, watch from the roof top of one of those spiffy new highrises that now dot the Williamsburg waterfront.
- DUMBO: Go to the Fulton Ferry Landing or Brooklyn Bridge Park for a partial view of the Empire State Building. It's especially nice at night.
