During the parade, live performers are stationed in front of the Brooklyn library. A good viewing point is between the Brooklyn Museum and Grand Army Plaza.

Celebrations for West Indian-American Day start days before the parade and include live steel drum music acts and various other cultural activities, most of which take place at the Brooklyn Museum (pictured here).

This year's event line-up includes Ladies' Night on Thursday, August 28; GAL Farm on Friday, August 29; Steel Band Panorama on Saturday, August 30; and Dimanche Grass on Sunday, August 31. The parade, of course, will be on Monday, September 1.
