While West Indian-American Day celebrations last for days leading up to the annual Labor Day Parade, the parade is the event you won't want to miss. Expect to see elaborate costumes like the ones pictured above: Feathers, body paint, and rainbow-hued fashions are standard picks for the 7-hour event.

This year, the West Indian-American Day Parade will begin at the corner of Rochester Avenue and Eastern Parkway and will end near Grand Army Plaza.
