Ever since the day Blackbird Parlour opened on the corner of Bedford Avenue and North 6th Street, it's been a hot spot for coffee dates, brunch, or late night drinking. Its old-timey atmosphere and cramped tables gives it a decidedly European vibe.

Guide Review
Though Blackbird Parlour is on the expensive side, most flock because of its convenient location, coffee, and atmosphere. Be forewarned, it does get crowded and there aren't nearly enough people on staff for the service to be attentive. The inside of the restaurant looks like a European cafe situated inside a hidden basement or the bottom of a ship - all wood interior with a gigantic bar and coffee bar in the back. Their Grilled Cheese will set you back $8.50, but the Fontina Cheese makes it worth a try. The Chorizo sandwich, $9.50, is also a crowd favorite. If you're there only for talk over coffee or tea, you won't be disappointed. Blackbird serves Danesi coffee and espresso (the real Italian stuff), and there are over twenty different kinds of teas to choose from. Top those off with Pain au Chocolat and you're practically in Paris.
