Brooklyn Heights restaurants are some of the best in the borough, and if you're looking for a delicious dinner, these picks won't disappoint.
1. Noodle Pudding
38 Henry Street
(718) 625-3737
Don't be put off by the strange-sounding name: This always-crowded, family-friendly Italian restaurant is a neighborhood favorite. With a reasonably-priced menu that offers excellent Italian basics (like a perfect spaghetti marinara and melt-in-your-mouth homemade gnocchi), locals come for the great food while tourists looking for a bite to eat after walking the Brooklyn Bridge are often pleasantly surprised when they stumble upon the humble-looking hotspot. Noodle Pudding's one flaw? Reservations aren't accepted, so expect a wait.

2. Waterfront Ale House
155 Atlantic Avenue(718) 522-3794
Ask any Brooklyn Heights local where the best BBQ in the neighborhood is, and they'll probably direct you to Atlantic Avenue's Waterfront Ale House. This popular bar and restaurant dishes out some of the neighborhood's best pub food with an extensive beer list to match. If you're in the mood for dessert, try the restaurant's bread pudding, which is hands down the best I've ever had.
3. Queen
84 Court Street718) 596-5954
Queen has been serving its rustic Italian fare to Brooklynites since 1958, and meals here are as hearty (imagine heaping servings of pasta doused in rich, cream-based pasta sauces) and fulfilling as they are delicious. A long-time favorite of food critics, the restaurant has been deemed one of Zagat's "top 1,000 Italian restaurants in the country." My advice? Don't miss out on the fresh mozzarella appetizer, and arrive with a big appetite in tow.
4. Le Petit Marché
46 Henry Street(718) 858-9605
This Brooklyn Heights French favorite has been open since 2006 and has had a loyal following ever since. With a menu that changes seasonally, everything from the steak frites to the filet mignon is fresh and satisfying. A well-chosen, reasonably-priced wine menu and a charming atmosphere rounds out the restaurant, making it a sweet neighborhood spot for locals.
5. Jack the Horse Tavern
66 Hicks Street(718) 852-5084
Jack the Horse is often noted for its delicious cocktails, but to ignore this cozy restaurant's food menu would be a crime. That said, I give you three words: Macaroni. And. Cheese. Jack the Horse's bacon-filled version of this comfort food staple is absolutely amazing. One bite and you'll become a restaurant regular.
