You'd be surprised at where you can find that Irish classic dish, corned beef and cabbage, in Brooklyn. Of course, one expects to find it at an Irish pub or restaurant on St. Patrick's Day.
But this is Brooklyn, where Irish and Jewish immigrants mixed it up for much of the 20th century. And one ethnic group adopts another's foods.
