MONDAY, JUNE 4
- Noon Flag Raising Ceremony
- Brooklyn Borough Hall (209 Joralemon Street, Downtown Brooklyn)
- Bringing together Brooklyn LGBT organizations raise the flag to kick off Pride Week, with Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and Brooklyn Pride, Inc. & special guests.
7:00pm Interfaith Service
- Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church (85 South Oxford Street, Fort Greene)
- A spiritual group comprised of many faiths comes together at a worship service for the LGBT community and friends.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6
- 6:00pm Annual LGBT Pride Celebration at Borough Hall
- Brooklyn Borough Hall (209 Joralemon Street, Downtown Brooklyn)
- Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and Brooklyn Pride, Inc. host an evening reception honoring “The King of New York Nightlife” Murray Hill; the Brooklyn AIDS Task Force Inc. and Elaine Greeley, executive director; GLOBE (Gays and Lesbians of Bushwick Empowered) and Ivan Luevanos, LGBTQ justice organizer; and Unity Fellowship Church of Christ NYC and Senior Bishop Zachary G. Jones, founder.
THURSDAY, JUNE 7
- 7:00pm A Tribute to Storme DeLarverie
- Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture (53 Prospect Park West, Park Slope)
- Honoring a legend in the LGBT movement. Co-hosted by Henrietta Hudson Bar, East of Eighth Restaurant and Griot Circle.
FRIDAY, JUNE 8
- 4:00pm PRIDE LGBT Youth BBQ
- GLOBE/Make the Road New York (301 Grove Street, Bushwick)
- An afternoon of food, entertainment and fun for LGBT youth and adults.
10:00pm THRIVE Party
- Chance 11 Lounge (895 Fulton Street, between Vanderbilt and Clinton)
- Hosted by GMAD (Gay Men of African Descent), celebrating its 25th Anniversary.
- Come party with PRIDE $10 before midnight, $15 after.
SATURDAY, JUNE 9
- Pride Day 2012
- Prospect Park at Bartel-Pritchard Circle and 9th – 15th Streets along Prospect Park West, Park Slope
9:00am Pride 5K Fun Run (registration at 8:00am)
- Co-sponsored with Front Runners, this event is for the LGBT community; half of all proceeds will go to the LGBT youth programs at the Brooklyn Community Pride Center.
Noon – 6:00pm Multicultural Festival/Stage Entertainment
- Featuring stage performances, family zone, shopping and great food, with a chance for all to learn about community organizations, issues and business.
Noon – 4:00pm Kids Space
7:30pm Night Pride Parade
- 5th Avenue - from 14th Street to Sterling Place, Park Slope
- MC’s Will Clark and Ron B as Tina Turner. Join the fun with the first twilight parade in the Northeast, a celebration of our pride and heritage
9:00pm After Parade Open Mic Youth Event at GMAD
- GMAD (44 Court Street, 10th floor, Downtown Brooklyn)
- Sponsored and hosted by GMAD, where youth of all genders and sexual identities can express themselves frankly and creatively.
