For a retreat or country-in-the-city wedding, anniversary, Sweet Sixteen, luncheon or cocktail party or catered event, the pretty, Victorian-style garden conservatory called the Palm House at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is an award-winning favorite.

Located near a classic, rectangular lily pond, it is glass enclosed. So whatever the season, it's a charming and bright location. And in summer, an outdoor patio area looks onto one of the most manicured garden vistas in New York City.

Spring may be the most gorgeous time to schedule an event, when a flamboyant display of tulips is in full glory right outside the Palm House, and when the magnolia and cherry trees are in bloom.

Special events here get rave reviews. Contact the Palm House for information on this space, which accommodates up to 300 people.

For Ceremonies Only

Other sections of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden that can be rented for ceremonies (not catering) include:
  • Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden
  • Cranford Rose Garden--an intimate, old-fashioned rose garden that celebrates and displays hundreds of rose varieties, in bloom in summertime
  • Osborne Garden--a stately grassy lawn area framed by classical architecture and an appealing fountain, and framed by crabapple trees and azaleas.
