An Outdoor Museum and Educational Institution

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden runs lectures and classes, tours and demonstrations. You can learn about everything from composting for an urban vegetable garden to raising rare orchids. They offer certificate programs in horticulture and run an apprenticeship program for teens interested in the very topical issue of urban agriculture and the environment.
