Grassy slopes that stretch from Grand Army Plaza to Prospect Park Southwest mark the Long Meadow, which, according to the Prospect Park Alliance, may be the longest stretch of unbroken meadow in any U.S. park. The meadow is nearly a mile long and is ideal for sports and picnics.
