Guide Review

Eggjaunted.com

Though you may have to wait up to an hour on Saturday or Sunday, brunch at Egg is one of the few places where you may find yourself thinking it was worth the wait. The eggs served here are farm fresh, and you can get them cooked just about any way you like. You can't go wrong with traditional plates like the Grafton Cheddar Omlette ($9.50) or the Eggs and Grits ($9) - or you can be adventurous and go for the Eggs Rothko ($9) (cheese toast served with broiled tomatoes) or the devastatingly delicious biscuits and gravy ($9). The portions here are not huge, which is a blessing: you won't leave feeling sick.

Lunch and Dinner menus feature incredibly authentic Fried Chicken ($12/$16) or a finger-licking Duck Sandwich ($13). Desserts, Coffee, Tea and seasonal vegetable or fruit sides are available all day. Egg is a tried and true neighborhood gem. Avoid the crowds on the weekend for a truly enjoyable experience that won't break your piggy bank.
