Brooklyn Botanic Garden

By , About.com Guide

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden stretches over 52 acres of land in Prospect Heights. The garden, Brooklyn's largest and most diverse, opened in 1910, and today, more than 700,000 people visit its grounds every year.

Whether you're looking for roses in bloom or want to participate in Brooklyn's annual Cherry Blossom Festival, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden can provide hours of outdoor entertainment.

The Garden offers a full schedule of events, including guided tours, group tours, and classes on everything from floral design to watercolor painting. There is also a gardening resource center for home gardeners, a café, and a giftshop.
