Question: When do the Brooklyn cherry blossoms bloom?
Answer:

Brooklyn cherry blossoms bloom every year beginning in late March or early April through mid-May.

During this time, the beautiful pink flowers fill the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and visitors come from throughout the city for a glimpse of the fleeting buds. In honor of the occasion, the Garden also shows artwork inspired by cherry blossoms and serves Japanese treats at its Terrace Café.

The annual Brooklyn Cherry Blossom Festival, or "Sakuri Matsuri," as it's known in Japanese, is a weekend-long celebration of the cherry blossoms hosted by the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The 2009 festival will take place on May 2 and May 3.
