Guide Review - Housing Works Thrift Shop
I love thrift store shopping, and I've found some amazing deals (like a brand-new Laundry sweater with the tags still attached for a cartwheel-inducing $25) at Housing Works Thrift Shop in Brooklyn.
The store manages to pack a great assortment of merchandise into its small space, and items change daily, so you never know what gems you'll find. One day it might be a pair of Ferragamo shoes, and the next day it could be a fantastic vintage Ikea rug. Merchandise runs the gamet from high- to low-end items, and prices vary, too. Every once in a while, you'll run into something that seems insanely overpriced, but for the most part, bargains abound.
The best part about shopping at Housing Works Thrift Shop? Your dollars are going to a good cause. In fact, the store donates all of its proceeds to charities that fight AIDS and homelessness. Trust me: Shopping never felt so good!
