A Brooklyn Airport Guide

As a part of New York City, Brooklyn is accessible to travelers flying in and out of three airports: JFK, La Guardia, and Newark Liberty International.

In addition to the transportation options listed below, there are several shuttles that ferry passengers between Brooklyn and NYC airports. Try the ETS Air Shuttle at (718) 221-5341 or SuperShuttle at (800) 258-3826. Both shuttles will cost from $30 to $45.

This Queens airport is the busiest of New York City's three airports.

Getting to JFK

  • Rail:
    The $5 JFK AirTrain services JFK. Take the Long Island Rail Road or the A train from Brooklyn to the Howard Beach - JFK Airport stop, and then transfer to the AirTrain. Total travel time is approximately 45 minutes using LIRR and 90 minutes using the subway.
  • Bus:
    The B15 bus goes to JFK.
  • Taxi:
    The fare from JFK to Brooklyn ranges from approximately $33 to $38.

La Guardia Airport
Also located in Queens, La Guardia is the smallest of New York City's airports.

La Guardia Arrivals/Departures

Getting to La Guardia

  • Bus:
    If you take the M60 from Manhattan, the trip will take approximately 90 minutes.
  • Taxi:
    The fare from La Guardia to Brooklyn ranges from approximately $25 to $35.

Newark Liberty International Airport
This New Jersey airport is approximately 15 miles southwest of Manhattan.

Getting to Newark Liberty International

  • Rail:
    Take the $5.50 AirTrain from Penn Station in Manhattan. The trip is about 20 minutes long.
  • Taxi:
    The fare from Newark Liberty International to Brooklyn ranges from approximately $40 to $45.
