Guide Review
Whether you're interested in visiting or moving to Williamsburg, The Residences project signals an era of real-estate boom for the once up-and-coming Brooklyn neighborhood. Now, Williamsburg is now one of the most popular places to live in the whole of New York. The Residences is both a hotel and an apartment building, two six story structures built right next to each other on North 11th Street, only about five blocks away from the Bedford Avenue L Train.
"The Residences" is slated to open in March 2011, and hotel guests and residents will be able to enjoy amenities like in-house massage and a rooftop pool. There are 57 apartments for sale only, that range from about $446,500 for a one-bedroom unit to $1.6 million for three bedrooms. The opening of another hotel is nothing but good for neighborhood. Previously there was really only one place to stay, a Holiday-Inn like hotel underneath the BQE called La Jolie. The hotel at The Residences will be far more chic, and its dining and drinking facilities will be open to the public.
