Guide Review
Though the Bowling here is on the expensive side ($25 per lane per half an hour) it doesn't really matter. There's plenty to do and see at Brooklyn Bowl aside from the pins. The promoters here have excellent taste in music, bring in a good balance of bigger names (Quest Love) to local indie bands on the rise. The sound system is excellent and there's plenty of room to stand or sit. The bar is large but could use a few more bartenders on staff, particularly on the weekends.
If music and bowling isn't enough to convince you that this may be the best concert venue in Brooklyn, the owners of Blue Ribbon have installed a corner restaurant where you can sit and nosh on their famous Fried Chicken (which comes in a variety of platters with sides ranging from $15 to $69 for an enormous 24 piece banquet). Other highlights include a milkshake with a shot of bourbon for $13. On the weekends Brooklyn Bowl burns the midnight oil until 4 a.m. But even that will seem too soon - you will never want to leave.
