About Habana Outpost

A sister restaurant to Manhattan's Café Habana, Brooklyn's quirky, crowded, and very sociable Habana Outpost is as much a community institution as a restaurant. So, expect to wait in a friendly line to get your frozen margaritas or quesadillas, Cuban sandwich or chicken burrito - but meanwhile you can meet new people, too.

As for the food: You can get a side of corn (a specialty) and of course, guacamole, salsa and a selection of salads. e run under $10.

On weekends, don't miss the "human powered blender" drink. Put the pedal to the metal: the blender is powered by someone on a bike. It's fun, silly and who knows, a harbinger of things to come? If you pedal, the drink is $4; if they pedal, it's $5.
